Old Town and Mouraria
A private walking food tour designed to discover the hidden stories of Mouraria, the birthplace of Fado, and Lisbon’s gastronomy. We’ll show you some old taverns where fado is still sung by the neighbors, in informal gatherings over a glass of wine, and a snack. In our stroll we’ll also understand the historic background of this very multicultural neighborhood, and the important influence it has in our present.
We’ll visit the more grand Old Town with its old grocery stores and pastry shops filled with mouthwatering deserts, try some authentic Lisbon food and wine and toast with the unique sour cherry liqueur.
