Mar Para a Mesa<\/strong><\/h1>\n

For our Sea to Table adventure, we depart from Lisboa towards\u00a0Nazar\u00e9, a village very much sought after for its close proximity with the sea and ancient old fishing traditions.<\/p>\n

We will learn from 2nd and 3rd generation fishwives how to prepare and\u00a0preserve the fish by sun-drying it, a method commonly used in Nazar\u00e9 for many centuries till today. We will take a stroll through the old narrow streets to the restaurant that will serve a meal\u00a0specially prepared for us\u00a0that includes a\u00a0rich fish stew, made with locally sourced fresh seafood\u00a0and other specialties like the sun-dried mackerel<\/p>\n

After lunch, we will head out to the\u00a0fish auction\u00a0site where we will watch the arrival of fishing boats loaded with the day\u2019s catch and witness the thrilling auction process. The weather permitting, we board a\u00a0motor boat* that will take us close to a traditional fishing fleet to\u00a0witness first-hand traditional fishing methods\u00a0used.<\/p>\n

On this day trip, we are able to see first-hand the whole fishing cycle in a true and very complete Sea to Table experience!<\/p>\n
